DeFi Analyst - Remote

Overview

Gauntlet is hiring a DeFi Analyst to expand the breadth and depth of our market insights and research to new audiences. This role blends on-chain data analysis, market research, and content creation, ideal for someone with strong analytical skills who can turn data into compelling narratives.

In Short

• Analyze and report on market events.
• Produce research around a thesis or developing market narrative/meta.
• Own KPIs including earned media, engagement/reach, and community growth.
• Manage the DeFi analyst partner program to grow a network of researchers.
• Field and respond to media requests for research and insights.
• Ideate and create quantitative visualizations for storytelling.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in DeFi research or data analysis.
• Fluent in data/analytics tools and SQL/Python.
• Strong knowledge of tokenomics and smart contracts.
• Concise, compelling storyteller with a deep respect for operational security.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in DeFi research, content, and/or data analysis.
• Fluent in data/analytics tools including Hex, Dune, and crypto market data APIs.
• Strong knowledge of tokenomics, smart contracts, and SQL/Python.
• Familiarity with EVM and non-EVM chains.
• Experience working in crypto at a protocol or exchange.
• Track record of success with writing and market commentary.
• Deep understanding of DeFi and crypto culture.
• Respect for operational security best practices.
• Concise and compelling storytelling skills.
