Overview

The Billing Specialist at Gateway Rehab Center is responsible for managing the billing of patient services, ensuring accuracy in claims, and following up on outstanding accounts receivable.

• Processes and audits service entries into the EHR.
• Generates claims, invoices, and patient bills.
• Monitors and collects outstanding accounts receivable.
• Reviews payment explanations and denials.
• Tracks and analyzes outstanding accounts receivable.
• Participates in monthly closings and provides data analysis.
• Communicates with various departments for problem resolution.
• Completes processes for adjustments and refunds.
• Assists in audits and communicates with Medical Records.
• Attends mandatory training and in-services.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year billing experience.
