Cloud Computing Specialist IV - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a remote Cloud Computing Specialist IV to join our team. The candidate will support GAMA-1's growing Cloud Services practice. In particular, the successful candidate will help drive GAMA-1's efforts to support its customer's strategic initiatives. These strategic cloud initiatives intend to increase the bureau's IT efficiency, improve IT delivery, and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering cloud technologies.

In Short

• Direct cloud administrative duties including compute, storage, and queue management.
• Oversee creation and documentation of Agile artifacts.
• Provide guidance on application transfer/migration into the cloud.
• Direct development of cloud business best practices.
• Work with multiple teams to understand business needs.
• Participate in UAT and development processes as needed.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Computer Science or 4+ years of experience supporting AWS.
• 8+ years’ experience administrating cloud compute and infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with cloud services and containerization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and scripting languages.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and CI/CD.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
