Grassroots Activism Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Grassroots Activism Coordinator will work with activists to enhance the effectiveness and frequency of activism while deepening commitments to animal rights and PETA.

In Short

• Encourage local grassroots activism in the U.S. and Canada.
• Enlist activist support for PETA’s campaigns.
• Cultivate relationships with activists.
• Coordinate with various PETA departments for materials and promotions.
• Facilitate media interactions with activists.
• Create educational protest materials.
• Manage projects to successful completion.
• Assist in developing activist organizations.
• Maintain PETA's Action Team database.
• Travel to support PETA campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of activism experience.
• Knowledge of animal rights and PETA campaigns.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to develop relationships with activists.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel and work independently.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid U.S. driver's license.
• Support for PETA's philosophy.
