The Systems Software Engineer at FORTNA develops, maintains, and executes digital simulation models to validate and optimize system designs, bridging engineering design, software modeling, and real-world system performance.

In Short

Develop and implement simulation models for automated systems.
Conduct system analysis and validation against KPIs.
Integrate simulation models with control systems.
Engage with customers and stakeholders to present simulation results.
Support business development with simulation demos.
Mentor engineers in simulation tools and methods.
Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation strategies.
Travel to customer sites for approximately 25% - 50% of the time.
Maintain documentation and records throughout the proposal process.
Work in a collaborative environment focused on innovation and diversity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering.
3+ years of experience in simulation modeling or digital twin environments.
Proficiency in Geek+ or other Robotics Software solutions is a plus.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, C#, Java, MATLAB).
Strong analytical skills and attention to performance metrics.
Ability to analyze AutoCAD drawings.
Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Experience estimating project costs is desired.
Valid Driver’s License and Passport may be required.
