Associate Controls Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Associate Controls Engineer will assist in the commissioning of automated sortation systems, focusing on implementing site-based controls for new equipment within customer facilities.

In Short

• Work under supervision of Sr Controls Engineers.
• Write and implement PLC code and integrate subsystems.
• Utilize HMI to develop interface solutions.
• Support the commissioning of complex automated systems.
• Provide site engineering support and participate in system acceptance testing.
• Travel up to 75% to various sites.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and navigate warehouse automation equipment.
• Exposure to potentially dangerous tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate professionally.
• Must be detail-oriented and results-focused.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in industrial controls.
• Familiarity with PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider).
• Experience with HMI programming (FactoryTalk View, Ignition).
• Understanding of electrical designs and IO devices.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks.
• Basic understanding of induction motors and PLCs is a plus.
• Equivalent work experience may substitute for education.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Apps.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
