Overview

The Forest Stewards Guild is seeking a Chief Investment Officer to lead and develop a nationwide investment program aimed at enhancing the organization's growth and fundraising efforts.

In Short

• Lead the development of the Office of Investments & Partnerships.
• Establish and maintain relationships with community leaders and potential investors.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies.
• Assemble and lead a new investment team.
• Conduct regular personal contacts with supporters.
• Ensure accurate donor database management.
• Support outreach efforts of the Board and Executive Director.
• Ensure compliance with ethical fundraising standards.
• Produce and distribute fundraising projections and results.
• Foster a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.

Requirements

• Experience in nonprofit fundraising or investment.
• At least five years in individual donor and corporate fundraising.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven team building and staff supervision experience.
• High ethical standards and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Passion for forest stewardship and community engagement.
