Overview

Foodsmart is seeking Registered Dietitians (RDs) to support the comprehensive nutrition care mission of Foodsmart Nutrition Network, which is grounded in removing the financial barriers in accessing and affording healthy food.

In Short

• Provide individualized medical nutrition therapy (MNT) via remote sessions.
• Support patients in accessing and using SNAP benefits.
• Conduct regular nutrition assessments.
• Document care in electronic medical records.
• Manage a panel of clients with chronic health conditions.
• Communicate effectively with clients through HIPAA-compliant channels.
• Develop lasting relationships with patients.
• Work in a start-up environment.
• Advocate for underserved populations.
• Motivate patients to continue their care journey.

Requirements

• Active credentialing as a Registered Dietitian.
• Licensed Dietitian in New York.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience.
• Must be enrolled with New York State Medicaid.
• Willingness to apply for additional licensure in high need states.
• Ability to work in the U.S.
