Remote Triage Nurse

Overview

The Remote Triage Nurse provides individualized care and clinical guidance to oncology patients, families, and caregivers, assisting with ongoing healthcare needs and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

In Short

• Provide care by triaging oncology patient calls.
• Monitor and manage patient symptoms.
• Assist with complex patient care to minimize emergency visits.
• Provide ongoing education and resources to patients and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Complete clinical documentation as needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries with patients and caregivers.
• Evaluate and report on diagnostic tests.
• Strong telephonic assessment and communication skills required.
• Work autonomously in a remote environment.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Minimum Associate Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) certification preferred.
• Three years of RN experience required.
• Two years of oncology experience required.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to develop collaborative relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a virtual team setting.
• High level critical-thinking skills.
