Director of Product Security & Privacy - Remote

Overview

The Director of Product Security & Privacy will oversee product lines from hardware to software, ensuring that security and privacy are integral to product development.

In Short

• Establish and execute a long-term vision for Product Security and Privacy Engineering.
• Lead the Product Security Review process, including threat modeling and security architecture reviews.
• Define and enforce Security and Privacy standards within the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Partner with Legal and GRC teams to translate privacy regulations into engineering requirements.
• Drive incident response and vulnerability management processes.
• Mentor and develop a team of security and privacy engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience in engineering, security, and privacy.
• Proven ability to influence product strategy and investment decisions.
• Experience in hiring and mentoring specialized engineers.
• Engineering experience with languages like TypeScript, Rust, and Python.
• Development experience within embedded systems and firmware design.
