Staff DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

Fliff is looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to build scalable, reliable, and secure platforms for real-time sports gaming experiences.

In Short

• Architect and operate high-performance infrastructure for real-time traffic.
• Lead design and development of internal platforms and automated workflows.
• Improve observability and monitoring for fast issue resolution.
• Drive incident response and reliability improvements.
• Enhance Kubernetes-based platform and implement security best practices.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for stable deployments.
• Partner with leadership on capacity planning and infrastructure roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions.
• Champion Infrastructure-as-Code and automation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of SRE/DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure experience.
• Experience with distributed systems and high-availability environments.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native architecture (preferably AWS).
• Strong proficiency in Go or another backend programming language.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or other databases.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems and messaging platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or IaC solutions.
• Understanding of observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.).
• Experience with SLOs, SLIs, and reliability engineering practices.
• Strong foundation in security fundamentals.
