Are you an expert in Bridge Design? Fisher Associates is looking for a skilled Project Engineer to be part of our dynamic Transportation Group. As a Bridge Project Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in the design, analysis, construction, and maintenance of various structures, such as buildings, bridges, dams and other infrastructure.

In Short

• Develop detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications for bridges and related structures.
• Provide technical expertise for specialized design tasks.
• Perform and oversee the day-to-day technical design tasks associated with a project.
• Attend routine project design meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and maintain accurate and complete project files.
• Coordinate regularly with the technical staff to complete the project within the assigned project budget and on schedule.
• Complete field inspections and reports for bridge and culvert inspections.
• Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase.
• Work collaboratively with other team members, consultants, and clients.
• Experience with MicroStation, STAAD, and Bridge Design Software preferred.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred).
• 10 - 15 years minimum of transportation experience, structures/bridge design experience preferred.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or ability to obtain it.
• Experience with NYSDOT and/or PennDOT required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
