Recovery Manager, Special Asset Management - Remote

Overview

The Recovery Manager, Special Asset Management oversees the day to day activities of a team that mitigates the delinquency and loss associated with defaulted accounts while providing excellent member service.

In Short

• Lead a team of high-performing and engaged employees.
• Manage a vendor group including third party collection agencies.
• Prepare reporting and presentation materials for senior leadership.
• Partner with attorneys for settlement and counter offers.
• Monitor changes in legal framework and regulations.
• Identify regulatory and legal risks.
• Meet established department metrics.
• Develop and maintain documentation for department practices.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Appear as witness for any case requiring CU testimony.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in recovery and loss mitigation.
• Minimum one year experience managing a team.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience providing legal support.
• Knowledge of the legal process including civil and small claims.
• Broad knowledge of financial industry regulations.
• Firm knowledge of real estate and consumer loan contracts.
• Proven people management and development skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple business units.
