Director of IT Operations - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on IT Operations Manager with leadership experience who wants to take the next step in their career without giving up their hands-on mentality.

In Short

• Technical responsibility for our IT infrastructure focusing on IT Helpdesk.
• Ensure availability, performance, and security of our office and IT systems.
• Define and implement a future-proof cloud strategy including budget, capacity, and lifecycle planning.
• Improve Developer Experience through efficient tools & processes (e.g., JIRA/Atlassian, Slack).
• Coaching and development of the team while prioritizing tasks.
• Establish knowledge-sharing formats and continuously optimize processes according to ITIL/DevOps principles.
• Manage SLA monitoring and continuous improvement of the IT service desk.
• Lead strategic projects and manage external service providers.
• Evaluate new technologies and create decision templates for management.
• Participate in working groups to further develop IT processes.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in a leadership role within complex IT infrastructures.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, virtualization, and networks.
• Proven expertise in IT service and project management (e.g., ITIL, Prince2, Scrum).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on mentality.
• Excellent German and English language skills.
