Specialist, Education & Advocacy Programs - Remote

Overview

The Specialist, Education & Advocacy Programs is a new position in the Education and Advocacy Department, supporting strategic initiatives and collaboration across five program areas focused on community, research & sanctuary animal welfare, advocacy, tour experience, and education.

In Short

• Support community changemaker pilot projects.
• Coordinate national remote volunteer Community Action Network.
• Develop Community Science Program content.
• Lead interdepartmental collaboration with Communications, Marketing, and Development.
• Facilitate collaboration among program teams and on-site staff.
• Coordinate restricted funding commitments.
• Support data collection and storytelling.
• Assist in creating program guides and onboarding materials.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Education and Advocacy.

Requirements

• 3-5 years’ experience in advocacy and education related to sustainability.
• Advanced degree in policy, public health, environmental sciences, or equivalent experience.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
• Demonstrated administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Alignment with Farm Sanctuary’s values of compassion and integrity.

• Willingness to learn about equity and social justice.
• Reliable internet connection for remote work.
