Data Science Intern - Remote

Overview

The Data Science Intern at Experian will work under the Lead ML Engineer to analyze large datasets and apply machine learning, data mining, and statistical techniques over a 12-month internship.

In Short

• Design efficient data structures and storage systems.
• Develop data-driven models to measure data value.
• Conduct Return on Investment analysis and present model processes and results.

Requirements

• Up to a year of experience in the Data Science field.
• University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or similar.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Knowledge of probability, statistical inference, optimization algorithms.
• Analytical techniques such as regression analysis, ML, AI, and deep learning.
• Experience with model cross-validation techniques.
• Familiarity with statistical significance tests and Monte Carlo simulations.
• Ability to write code in Python.
• Experience with SparkSQL and data visualization tools.
• Understanding of modern big data technologies, including the Apache family (Hadoop, Spark).
