Associate Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Associate Data Engineer will assist in monitoring and running daily ETL/ELT pipelines, troubleshoot data pipeline issues, and support data processing jobs at Experian, a global data and technology company.

• Assist in monitoring and running daily ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and cloud tools.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and ensure data is processed correctly.
• Handle regular data imports, validations, and quality checks.
• Assist in maintaining data documentation and governance processes.
• Support maintaining SQL and Scala scripts, queries, and simple ETL tasks.
• Work closely with the reporting/analytics team for data accuracy.
• Learn and contribute to data architecture improvements.
• Contribute ideas for proof-of-concept initiatives and new tools.
• Participate in data investigations and validation queries.
• Support scheduled and ad-hoc data processing jobs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Practical knowledge of SQL, Scala, and PySpark.
• Willingness to learn cloud-based data tools like AWS.
• Familiarity with data analysis or pipelines from coursework or projects.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.
• Exposure to BI/analytics tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience working on group projects or in agile environments.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
