Finance Manager - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive person with experience in service-based or creative industries (experience in the digital agency space is an asset!), to join our team at Evolving Web. The Finance Manager will oversee the financial health and strategy of the agency, ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient operations, forecasting, and compliance. This role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on financial management, ideally suited to a candidate with experience in similar service-based industries. We’re a growing company and take on many types of projects, so there will be a wide variety of tasks for you to work on.

In Short

• Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning in alignment with the agency’s growth objectives.
• Monitor revenue, margins, and profitability by project/client.
• Analyze key metrics (utilization, billable rates, project performance).
• Advise leadership on financial implications of strategic decisions.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Manage and review ongoing operational expenses, payroll, payments to contractors.
• Collaborate with project managers and departments leads to improve processes and resource allocation.
• Manage financial relationships with suppliers/vendors, contractors, and clients.
