Tax Accountant Intern - Remote

Overview

The Tax Accountant Intern will be responsible for supporting a variety of functions on our Accounting team, regularly communicating with accounting professionals, auditors, and regulators.

In Short

• Support various functions on the Accounting team.
• Communicate with accounting professionals, auditors, and regulators.
• Registration of new entities with Secretaries of State.
• Modification of existing entity information.
• Create new State Payroll and tax accounts.
• Review and resolve state notices.
• Assist with other tax items as needed.
• Work under the supervision of the Accounting Manager.
• Gain hands-on experience in a casual team environment.
• Collaborate with experienced professionals.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance.
• Working towards industry certification (CMA or CPA preferred).
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Netsuite experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent analytical and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
• Critical thinker with the ability to produce quality materials.
