Senior Product Designer - Map Viewer/Analysis - Remote

Overview

Come join our UX/UI team where you will craft and validate designs for our web-mapping application ArcGIS Map Viewer and Analysis tools in ArcGIS Online. These web-based tools allow users to create interactive maps, run spatial analysis, and uncover insights from location-based data. Whether someone is mapping traffic trends, climate risk, or election outcomes, Map Viewer is often their first touchpoint with Esri’s software. In this role you’ll collaborate closely with other designers and product development to help organizations connect people, locations, and data using interactive maps that drive positive change in the world.

In Short

• Work with developers and product managers to design end-to-end mapping experiences.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify requirements for new features.
• Develop personas, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Conduct user research to enhance product designs.
• Suggest and implement improvements for team processes.
• Present holistic design solutions addressing business and user requirements.
• Conduct peer reviews and gather usability feedback.
• Communicate design rationale to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product design for enterprise SaaS or web applications.
• Experience with Figma and established design patterns.
• Knowledge of localization and internationalization.
• Expertise in accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0).
• Strong initiative and ownership in driving outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative and empathetic approach to teamwork.
• An online portfolio showcasing design abilities and thought processes.
• Bachelor's in human factors, HCI, graphic design, or related field.
