Overview

The Charge Entry Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely charge submission for Equip, a leading virtual eating disorder treatment program, by reviewing clinical documentation and entering billable services into the billing system.

In Short

• Ensure accurate charge submission by reviewing reports and patient documentation.
• Enter charges into the billing platform while adhering to payer requirements.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing documentation.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Audit and review charges for billing system approval.
• Monitor for missing charges and ensure timely submission.
• Support additional Revenue Cycle operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of relevant experience in healthcare billing or charge entry.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferably in Behavioral Health.
• Understanding of insurance claim processing and CPT coding.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Proficient in Google Workspace applications.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
