Nodal Market Analyst - Remote

Overview

We are looking for Nodal Market Analysts to join our team to build out our power transmission modelling, FTR modelling capabilities. This role requires a sound understanding of energy transmission and market fundamentals and experience in analysis in an RTO/ISO markets.

In Short

• Review energy markets & fundamentals, gather data and curate them into energy models for analysis.
• Creating best practices for the delivery of reference models and services to customers in world-wide markets.
• Work with our team of automation experts to automate the collection of data and updates to existing models.
• Working with the product management team on data requirements and reporting necessary for our SaaS and on-premise products.

Requirements

• Energy Modeling or Market Analysis background.
• Experience in creating data products for power systems for analysis for Power flow models or experience with data providers, e.g., Platts/SNL.
• 5 years or more Experience in Transmission modelling and extensive use of PSS®E or Power World.
• Extensive knowledge in Bulk Transmission System of North America.
• Knowledge of any energy modeling tool preferred e.g. PLEXOS, AURORA, PROMOD, PROSYM, etc.
• Four-year degree in engineering or Economics.
• Master’s degree or Ph. D. in power systems or electrical engineering preferred.
