The Mechanical Technician will contribute to the protection of the environment and the operational reliability of pipeline systems through maintenance of mechanical aspects.
In Short
Perform mechanical maintenance work in compliance with regulations.
Conduct emergency response duties as a first responder.
Complete mandatory safety and technical training.
Execute equipment lock-outs for safety.
Collaborate with other technicians to plan and schedule maintenance work.
Maintain facility records and update drawings as necessary.
Assist with construction projects and equipment installation.
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Comply with DOT rules and regulations for pipeline operations.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 to 2 years of relevant training and experience.
Excellent troubleshooting ability.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Preferred: Technical or vocational degree/certificate.
Experience in maintenance of pipeline or related facilities.
Familiarity with pumps, motors, valves, and controls.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and climbing.
