SQL Database Administrator - Remote

Overview

Oxford Life Insurance is looking for a SQL Database Administrator to be responsible for overseeing projects, designing and developing web architecture, and mentoring a team.

In Short

• Responsible for managing SQL Server and database access.
• Monitor and respond to SQL server performance degradation.
• Troubleshoot issues with applications connecting to SQL databases.
• Collaborate with team members to meet business objectives.
• Support the test and deployment of new products and features.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Design and maintain reports for monitoring database health.
• Provide guidance and support to application teams.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Expertise in Object-Oriented Design and Database Design.
• Experience with C#, VB.NET, and SQL (T-SQL).
• Knowledge of modern Design Patterns.
• Azure experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and organize work effectively.
• Experience unit testing.
• Familiarity with WCF and web service development.
• Preferred certifications: SQL MCSA.
• Experience with Grafana is a plus.
