Accounting Summer Intern - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our accounting team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance operations.

In Short

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile bank statements and ledger entries.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Organize and maintain financial files and documentation.
• Perform other administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
• Internship starts on June 2nd and runs for at least 10 weeks.
• Location is at our corporate campus in Midtown Phoenix.
• Schedule is flexible based on academic commitments.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Preferred: Previous internship or coursework in accounting or finance.
• Familiarity with GAAP and other accounting standards.
