Overview

The Medicare Set-Aside (MSA) Specialist is responsible for evaluating, preparing, and submitting Medicare Set-Aside allocations in compliance with CMS guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations, ensuring the protection of Medicare’s interests in workers’ compensation and liability settlements.

In Short

• Part-Time position working Monday through Friday, either in office or remotely.
• Requires previous Medicare Set-Aside experience.
• Review and edit medical abstraction and MSA future medical allocation.
• Analyze CMS guidelines and state regulations for compliance.
• Support CMS Submission Specialists with MSA package preparation.
• Communicate with claims professionals and clients for data gathering.
• Stay updated on CMS policy changes and industry trends.
• Respond to client inquiries about MSA processes.
• Coordinate conditional payment searches and compliance services.
• Maintain documentation in line with regulations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare Secondary Payer Act and CMS MSA guidelines.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and records interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
