Overview

As a Fuel Engineer at EDF, you will provide technical analysis and operational support for nuclear reactors, ensuring safety and efficiency in a highly regulated environment.

In Short

  • Provide technical analysis and operational support for nuclear reactors.
  • Assess and advise on nuclear fuel operational envelopes.
  • Deliver high-quality technical work and author reports.
  • Work in areas covering Fuel Design, Performance, and Integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex technical problems.
  • Stay informed on industry research and operational experience.
  • Drive your own training and development.
  • Engage effectively with stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Support the safe and efficient operation of nuclear power stations.
  • Foster a positive team culture through knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, or applied physics.
  • Experience with AGR and/or PWR fuel and components.
  • Knowledge of fuel safety cases and degradation mechanisms.
  • Ability to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Must meet criteria for Counter Terrorist Check (CTC).
