Overview

The EFM Respite Care Coordinator is responsible for providing support to families and providers, ensuring quality care and resources are available for exceptional family members.

In Short

• Assist in keeping records and preparing reports.
• Contact families within 3 business days of referrals.
• Interview families to compile necessary information.
• Provide information about community events and resources.
• Consult with management on family and provider issues.
• Assist in maintaining files and logs.
• Verify attendance and process timesheets.
• Conduct interviews and background checks for providers.
• Train respite care providers in essential areas.
• Mentor families and caregivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
• Experience in special education or early childhood education.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Proficiency in computer software used by ELC of Duval.
• Experience in training adult learners.
• Military experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance verification.
