Pharmacy Technician (Temporary) - Remote

Overview

The Pharmacy Technician performs administrative functions to support the Pharmacy Department, assisting with daily operations and ensuring compliance with regulations while providing customer service to members.

In Short

• Assists with daily operations of Pharmacy Department programs.
• Makes outbound calls to members and prescribers regarding medication adherence.
• Helps members refill medications and coordinates with prescribers.
• Drafts reports and correspondence.
• Supports compliance processes related to pharmacy benefits.
• Responds to inquiries about formulary and prescription benefits.
• Ensures confidentiality of member information.
• Interacts with internal departments to resolve pharmacy-related issues.
• Works closely with compliance to meet CMS criteria.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Ability to work in the office 2 days per week required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology required.
• Effective communication skills required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and solve problems effectively.
• Mathematical skills to perform calculations required.
• Pharmacy Tech license required.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
