Overview

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting the operations of the Pharmacy Department, ensuring effective communication and management of medication-related tasks for seniors and chronically ill members.

• Assist with daily operations of Pharmacy Department programs.
• Make outbound calls to members and prescribers regarding medication refills.
• Draft routine reports and correspondence.
• Support compliance with CMS requirements.
• Respond to inquiries related to formulary and prescription benefits.
• Ensure confidentiality of member information per HIPAA standards.
• Interact with internal departments and external partners effectively.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year customer service experience required.
• Prior Pharmacy Tech experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Pharmacy Tech preferred.
• Pharmacy Tech license required.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.
• Advanced problem-solving and reasoning skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Chinese) preferred.
