Financial Controller - Remote

Overview

Durable is seeking a Financial Controller to manage day-to-day finance operations, including bookkeeping, payroll, compliance, and budgeting.

In Short

• Handle end-to-end bookkeeping in QBO.
• Lead month-end close and financial reporting.
• Administer biweekly payroll and manage benefits.
• Partner with department leads for budgeting and forecasting.
• Streamline internal finance processes and reporting.
• Prepare board-ready financials.
• Work cross-functionally with non-finance teams.
• Experience with AI tools and automated workflows.
• 3-4 years of experience in accounting or startup finance.
• Hybrid work flexibility with a preference for PST timezone.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting or startup finance, ideally in SaaS.
• CPA or equivalent background.
• Hands-on QBO experience.
• Excellent Excel/GSheets skills.
• Experience managing cash, AP, payroll, and compliance.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally.
• Experience with annual audit processes is a plus.
• Bonus: experience implementing financial tools.
