Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

A Systems Engineer is responsible for providing technical support across Enterprise Infrastructure, supporting key project-driven initiatives, and maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure environment.

In Short

• Provide advanced production support for Linux technologies.
• Manage patching and upgrades on Redhat Linux and Solaris servers.
• User account and file system management.
• Troubleshoot hardware systems and deal with hardware failures.
• Assist with automation tasks within the Linux and Solaris environment.
• Maintain stability of the production Linux environment.
• Coordinate system maintenance and technology deployments.
• Complete complex projects within time frames and budgets.
• Develop timely metrics based on management platforms.
• Monitor performance and develop standard methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Redhat Linux and Solaris environments.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Experience handling critical production incidents.
• 4 years of related experience in production support.
• Knowledge in shell scripting.
• Understanding of ESXi Hosts and virtual environments.
• Experience in cloud environments like AWS.
