System Administrator (RHEL) - Remote

Overview

DT Professional Services is seeking a System Administrator with strong experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in secure Azure Government Cloud environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with RHEL 8/9, Azure Virtual Environments, and enterprise cloud operations. This is a fully remote role and requires an active Secret security clearance.

In Short

• Provide maintenance, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for RHEL 8 & 9 systems in Azure Government Cloud.
• Scale and maintain RHEL environments, including deploying and upgrading virtual machines.
• Support critical services like LDAP, DNS/BIND, and RHEL patching.
• Maintain DISA STIG compliance and perform vulnerability remediation.
• Administer Red Hat Satellite Server for updates and system configuration.
• Provision and maintain Azure Dedicated Hosts supporting IL2, IL4, and IL5 workloads.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions in Azure.
• Support RMF Steps to meet ATO requirements.
• Ensure ongoing STIG compliance and routine patching.
• Conduct continuous system monitoring and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
• 3–5+ years of experience administering RHEL 8/9 environments.
• Experience with Azure Government Cloud and Azure VMs.
• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements and compliance.
• Proficiency in managing RHEL services like LDAP and DNS.
• Experience with disaster recovery in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud architectures.
