Senior Actuarial Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Senior Actuarial Analyst will be a key member of DoorDash’s Corporate Risk & Insurance function, contributing to actuarial decisions and supporting analytical capabilities.

In Short

• Contribute to the development of tools for reserving accuracy and insurance program optimization.
• Assist in building dashboards for loss analysis and actuarial indications.
• Collaborate with senior actuaries on performance reporting and workflow automation.
• Work with cross-functional teams to incorporate operational insights into actuarial work.
• Gather and reconcile data for actuarial analyses.
• Take ownership of projects, delivering insights for business decision-making.

Requirements

• Flexibility, resourcefulness, optimism, grit, and a growth mindset.
• 2-5 years of experience in a quantitative role in the insurance industry.
• Understanding of statistical analysis and familiarity with statistical packages.
• Experience in reserving and pricing.
• Strong skills in Excel, SQL, ETL, and Python (or R).
• Advanced visualization skills using Tableau.
• Completed at least 5 actuarial exams.
