Maintenance Technician - Nunavut Remote Camp

Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of all kitchen appliances and plumbing within the camp’s facilities, requiring strong electrical and plumbing knowledge.

In Short

• Responsible for maintenance of kitchen appliances and plumbing in a remote camp.
• Requires knowledge in electrical systems and plumbing.

• Travel to and from site locations from Edmonton, AB.
• 4 weeks on/2 weeks off work rotation.
• Emergency maintenance response required.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Collaboration with other maintenance staff and camp management.

Requirements

• Journeyman Plumber Certification required.
• Valid Drivers License with a clean abstract.
• Experience in remote or fly-in/fly-out camps.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Hands-on experience with kitchen appliances.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in extreme weather.
