Intermediate Test Engineer Automation (Java) - Remote

Overview

We invite an experienced and proactive Test Engineer with strong backend automation skills to join our team. In this role, you’ll contribute to building a data-driven platform that powers gift card and loyalty programs for quick-service restaurants and retailers across North America and beyond. You’ll help us deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions that drive real business impact.

In Short

• Contribute to a mature, impactful platform driving customer engagement across North America’s quick service restaurant and retail industries
• Grow your expertise in backend automation testing using a modern tech stack (GCP, Jenkins, etc.)
• Collaborate with a community of senior QA professionals who actively share knowledge and provide support
• 3+ years of software testing experience focused on backend (REST API) test automation
• Proficiency in Groovy or Java (C# or Python experience acceptable if open to switching to Groovy)
• Strong understanding of agile development, testing lifecycle, and OOP principles
• Experience in backend manual testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins
• Knowledge of Git and test reporting tools
• Ability to build and maintain automation frameworks and tools

Requirements

• Strong troubleshooting and investigation skills
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL)
• Understanding of the HTTP protocol and REST architecture
• Experience with Linux/Mac terminal
• Strong communication skills, independence, and a proactive approach with high visibility
• Upper-Intermediate English level
• Experience using cloud environments for automation testing, preferably GCP (AWS acceptable)
