Overview

The Deutsche Hilfsbund (DEHIB) is an umbrella organization with growing strategic, economic, and institutional reach. In the current phase of development, central financial, investment, and capital issues are being consciously bundled at the association level. Until the establishment of an independent holding, measures and investor outreach are conducted directly from DEHIB. The overarching financial and capital strategy remains permanently with the voluntary CFO of DEHIB, even after a later structural outsourcing of operational units.

To strategically secure and further develop this architecture, we are looking for a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at the C-level.

Note: This position is voluntary, unpaid, and does not establish an employment relationship. It is suitable for various life phases, even alongside a job, and can serve personal and professional development. The time commitment is about 5 to 8 hours per week.

• Overall responsibility for strategic financial and capital management of DEHIB
• Investor outreach, negotiation, and closing support for investments
• Structuring of participation, financing, and co-investment models
• Preparation and management of liquidity and financial planning at the association level
• Supporting the federal board on capital allocation, growth paths, and risks
• Preparation for the transfer of operational transaction activities into a future holding
• Ensuring clear separation between the association and economic units according to governance principles
• Strategic overall supervision of participations and group-like structures

Requirements

• Solid experience in corporate finance, investments, M&A, or participation structures
• Proven practice in investor discussions and closing processes
• Strategic thinking and high financial judgment
• Safe handling of complex governance and organizational structures
• High reliability, discretion, and assertiveness
• Willingness to take responsibility even in development and transition phases
