Senior Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Thomson Reuters Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) organization is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Security Engineer to join our growing Product Security & Security Engineering organization. This role is crucial in advancing our multi-cloud network security initiatives, with a focus on delivering automation for the efficient deployment and adoption of network & application security controls across our multi-cloud estate.

In Short

• Design & implement automation for cloud-native network security controls.
• Develop automated processes for log analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with Product Security and Cloud teams.
• Build and optimize deployment pipelines for cloud infrastructure.
• Strong scripting skills required (Python, Bash).
• Experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Strong communication skills for technical and business stakeholders.
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Experience with cloud-native WAF solutions is a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Terraform and CI/CD pipeline tools.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Experience with observability tools like Datadog or Splunk.
• Experience with other Cloud Service Providers is a plus.
• Ability to analyze log data effectively.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills in a dynamic team environment.
