Overview

Reuters is seeking a Senior Correspondent for the Markets team to take on one of the most important writing and reporting roles in our Bangalore newsroom. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated journalist to drive coverage of some of the world’s biggest financial markets as part of a strong 14-member team in Bangalore.

In Short

• Write or help drive coverage of the daily U.S. Stocks report.
• Cover Reuters flagship Emerging Market reports.
• Provide quick hit takeouts on major shifts in stock market sentiment.
• Proactively find explanations for stock moves and feed story ideas.
• Develop contacts in the Wall Street trading world.
• Identify and explain stock-market trends using Reuters data.
• Work closely with the stock markets team and editors in New York.
• Pay attention to detail and possess an aptitude for numbers.
• Strong writing skills are required.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Markets and emerging Stocks journalism.
