Mechanical Engineer, Distribution and Fulfillment - Remote

Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer in Distribution and Fulfillment, you will apply your engineering knowledge to detail material handling systems and create drawing sets for various stakeholders.

In Short

• Review and apply customer specifications to design
• Check architectural drawings against conveyance design
• Participate in engineering meetings with customers and suppliers
• Produce detailed mechanical installation drawings
• Create Bills of Material for purchasing equipment
• Verify calculations such as horsepower and throughput
• Work with vendors to ensure compliance with customer requirements
• Travel to job sites to verify field conditions
• Create and maintain CAD files
• Review and create as-built drawings

Requirements

• BS in a technical discipline (ME, EE, other engineering/CAD)
• 4-6 years of experience in distribution and fulfillment projects
• Solid knowledge of drafting & design standards
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Flexible and able to transition between projects
• Excellent written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on teamwork
