Data Center Design Manager - Remote

Overview

The Data Center Design Manager will support the development of hyperscale data center projects, acting as the owner's representative to manage the end-to-end design process.

In Short

• Lead the design governance and ensure alignment with project schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate between multiple disciplines (CSA, MEP, ICT, Security) for design integration.
• Assist in the technical review of equipment submittals for readiness.
• Serve as the liaison between the owner, architect, and general contractor.
• Prepare and present technical reports to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with design changes and local building codes.
• Manage RFIs and submittals to prevent construction bottlenecks.
• Identify design-related risks and lead solutions development.
• Utilize Revit/Navisworks for clash detection.
• Lead Value Engineering workshops for cost optimization.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in engineering design and construction oversight.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Strong background in data center development.
• Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Expert-level proficiency in interpreting structural drawings.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office and construction software.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
