Senior Software Engineer - ML Platform & Experience - Remote

Overview

The Data Science organization designs and builds algorithmically driven features in the Datadog app. We work across a range of applications, primarily focusing on analysis and on streaming data across Datadog products such as anomaly detection, error outliers, and faulty deployment analysis.

In Short

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable tools and infrastructure to support data scientists.
• Create a development ecosystem for rapid experimentation and deployment of algorithms.
• Stay on the cutting edge of MLOps development and document best practices.
• Drive the technical growth of Machine Learning as a distributed capability.
• Collaborate with teams in the Data Science org and tooling teams.
• Work on model experimentation, training, deployment, serving, and evaluation.
• Architect, build, and operate distributed systems.
• Execute projects spanning data engineering, data science, and machine learning.
• Adapt to ambiguity and work across the stack.
• Encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems and data science applications.
• Proven ability to architect and operate distributed systems.
• Experience in executing data engineering and machine learning projects.
• Ability to ship fast and navigate blockers.
• Willingness to work on various parts of the stack.
