Engineering Manager - Test Optimization - Remote

Overview

Datadog is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and grow our Test Optimization - Libraries team, which represents part of the “shift-left” expansion of the Datadog Platform. Test Optimization is a product that automatically instruments and traces every software test in our customers' CI workflows, giving them complete visibility into test health, performance, reliability, and flakiness. Test Optimization is part of the Software Delivery suite, which aims at helping software engineering teams do more, faster, in a secure way.

In Short

• Lead and develop a talented team of libraries engineers, managing 7 engineers.
• Participate in hands-on work: Code reviews, design reviews, and coding.
• Create a strong team culture aligned with engineering standards and customer focus.
• Work closely with product management and other engineering managers.
• Ensure continuous improvement of SDKs for ease of use.
• Help grow the team and shape the engineering culture of a distributed team.

Requirements

• Experience with low-level libraries used by engineers.
• Previous experience as a tech lead or people manager.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build high-performing teams.
• Track record of delivering high-quality software products.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript and Python.
