Data Scientist - Price Elasticity and Forecasting - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Data Scientist with experience in Python, predictive models, and a focus on retail/CPG to join our innovative projects at Darwoft.

In Short

• Explore and analyze structured and unstructured data to discover trends.
• Design, build, and evaluate predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
• Create rapid prototypes (POCs and MVPs) to solve real business problems.
• Present complex insights through clear visualizations and data-driven recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams for model scalability.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail/CPG industry.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with time series analysis and optimization models.
• Familiarity with ML tools like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.

Requirements

• University degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in retail/CPG.
• Advanced programming in Python (pandas, OOP) and SQL.
• Experience in time series, optimization, and forecasting models.
• Prototyping, QA, and model optimization skills.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights.
• Familiarity with big data processing tools like Spark or Azure Databricks.
• Experience in developing simple interfaces with Flask or Plotly.
• Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies.
