Principal Python Developer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer - Python to join our dynamic team exclusively for our Twill product. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services to support our Twill web application and digital health platform.

• Build and maintain backend services in Python for the Twill web application.
• Utilize the Flask framework to develop scalable web APIs.
• Design and optimize relational database models.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Amazon S3.
• Develop high-performance, asynchronous APIs.
• Implement API authentication and authorization patterns.
• Utilize distributed message queue patterns for background jobs.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in building backend services in Python.
• Expertise in the Flask framework.
• Understanding of relational database models and SQLAlchemy.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis, and Amazon S3.
• Familiarity with asynchronous APIs (Starlette, FastAPI).
• Experience with OAuth, OIDC, and JWT.
• Knowledge of distributed message queue patterns.
