Overview

The Process Safety Leader/Engineer at IFF Health and Biosciences plays a vital role in preventing catastrophic incidents within an industrial enzyme manufacturing facility by managing risks and improving safety systems.

In Short

• Facilitate and oversee Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
• Update and develop Process Knowledge and Safety Information.
• Lead the site Management Of Change program.
• Manage the Interlock and alarm management program.
• Support capital expansion projects with safety requirements.
• Audit and report KPIs related to process safety.
• Advocate for safety and environmental compliance.
• Branch into other EHS disciplines over time.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safety responsibilities are met.
• Document information and metrics diligently.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in chemical/agricultural or manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Visio.
• Ability to read CAD drawings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of RMP, NFPA, and regulatory standards preferred.
• Experience in Health and Safety management systems preferred.
• Integrity and accountability in professional responsibilities.
• Able to adapt to changes and prioritize workflows.
• Enjoy documenting metrics and following up with teams.
