Overview

Dane Street is an Independent Review Organization and a national provider of Utilization Review services, expanding our physician panel for non-traditional physician work and supplemental income. This is a telework opportunity for physicians providing a caseload customized to your schedule.

• Opportunity for telework as a physician reviewer.

• Experience in California Independent Medical Review (IMR) process preferred.
• Review medical necessity for workers’ compensation treatment requests.
• Must be experts in Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule (MTUS) and Official Disability Guidelines (ODG).
• Training and onboarding can be completed in less than 1 week.
• Consistent volume and good reimbursement.
• Work can be done any time outside standard work hours.
• No calls are required.

Requirements

• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery - Hand.
• Active California medical license.
• Experience in IMR process is preferred but not required.
• Ability to assess medical necessity using evidence-based guidelines.
• Strong medicolegal writing skills.
