Physician Reviewer - Remote

Overview

Dane Street, a certified "Great Place to Work" company, is in search of a Board Certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon, Neurosurgeon, Neurologist, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician to process utilization reviews. Worker's Compensation experience is preferred but, not required. This telework opportunity provides the ability to customize your schedule and caseload within a standard Monday - Friday work week while maintaining client-mandated turnaround times.

In Short

• Board Certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon, Neurosurgeon, Neurologist, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician needed.
• Telework opportunity with customizable schedule.
• Compensation on a per-case basis as a 1099 independent contractor.
• Preferred candidates will hold a license in CA, GA, FL, IL, KY, LA, NV, or TX.
• Utilizes clinical expertise to review workers' compensation claims.
• Ensures clear and concise rationale for determinations.
• Maintains proper credentialing and state licenses.
• Attends required orientation and training.
• Identifies and responds to quality assurance issues.
• Provides timely copies of criteria utilized in reviews.

Requirements

• Board certification in relevant medical field.
• Experience in utilization review preferred.
• Strong understanding of state regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
• Attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Ability to critique and utilize current medical criteria.
• Maintains compliance with URAC guidelines.
• Must have necessary state licenses and certifications.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training.
