Overview

As a Physician Reviewer/Advisor for Independent Medical Record Reviews, you will leverage your clinical expertise to review insurance appeals and evaluate prospective and retrospective claims.

In Short

• Review all medical records and address each question posed by the client.
• Ensure that the rationale for each determination is clear and supported by documentation.
• Identify and utilize current guidelines and peer-reviewed literature.
• Provide copies of any criteria referenced in the review.
• Complete and return cases by the assigned due date.
• Make telephone calls to clients when required.
• Maintain proper credentialing, state licenses, and certifications.
• Respond to quality assurance issues and regulatory inquiries.
• Board certification and active practice required.
