Overview

CTEC is seeking a Senior Benefits Counselor/Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our remote team, providing expert knowledge and guidance on Social Security benefits programs.

• Provides expert knowledge on Social Security benefits programs including SSDI, SSI, Medicare.
• Serves as the authoritative source for benefits policy interpretation and eligibility requirements.
• Reviews training content for accuracy and collaborates with instructional designers.
• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal benefit programs is essential.
• Experience with federal benefits determination processes and appeals procedures.
• Certification in benefits counseling is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
• Delivers training, workshops, and provides technical assistance.
• Located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of Social Security benefits administration or counseling experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of SSDI, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid, and related federal benefit programs.
• Experience with federal benefits determination processes, eligibility requirements, and appeals procedures.
• Certification in benefits counseling (CWIC, Benefits Counseling Certification, or equivalent).
• Security clearance, eligibility and experience with confidential beneficiary information.
• Delivers training, workshops, and provides technical assistance.
